Taken back when Bieber and Gomez were officially an item, the photo shows the "Same Old Love" singer, 23, with her hand on her then-boyfriend's knee as he sits behind her and snuggles into her back. The duo were on vacation together in Canada when the snap was taken.
Initially the 21-year-old crooner gave no caption to the photograph, which got fans and followers in a spin as they tried to figure out the relevance of the post. Was Bieber just reminiscing? Was it a sign he and Gomez were getting back together? What was it all about?!

 Justin shows off his amazing smile while stepping out on the stage at The Ellen DeGeneres Show for yet another surprise appearance, airing on Thursday (February 5).
The 20-year-old singer is making his second appearance on the show in two weeks after stopping by last week for his first television interview in a long time. He opened up this time about the public apology video he released last week.
“People often forget that, even with their comments and stuff they think it doesn’t get to me. But it gets to me,” Justin said. “You know things that people say bothers me and I gotta be strong enough to just keep it pushing. Yeah, that’s why I just wanted to make a video to just let people know that I’m human, I love people, I love love, I’m passionate about things and I’m passionate about being better and growing so I think that this is going to be an awesome chapter in my life and I’m so glad that I have you guys supporting me.”
